We're excited to announce that Laravel Cloud has successfully completed our SOC 2 Type 1 audit, demonstrating our commitment to security, availability, and privacy.
What is SOC 2?
SOC 2 (Service Organization Control 2) is a framework developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) that verifies a company's controls related to data security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.
The Type 1 audit evaluates whether a company's controls are suitably designed and in place at a specific point in time. This certification confirms that Laravel Cloud is following robust security practices to protect your applications and data.
What This Means for You
This achievement means that Laravel Cloud has implemented security controls that:
- Protect against unauthorized access
- Ensure system availability
- Maintain data confidentiality
- Provide operational transparency
For organizations with compliance requirements, this certification offers additional assurance that Laravel Cloud meets industry standards for security and data protection. SOC 2 Type 1 certification is an important step on our way to SOC 2 Type 2 certification.
We’re also actively pursuing SOC 2 Type 1 and 2 certifications for Laravel Forge and Laravel Nightwatch.
Our Continued Investment in Laravel
Last year we received a $57M investment from Accel to continue to build the Laravel team and invest more deeply into our open source framework and products. Securing SOC 2 Type 1 compliance (and other compliance certifications in the future) allows us to bring Laravel to even more developers.
